Security

Please read the following disclosures and information regarding internet banking and security:

The importance of security for all personally identifiable information associated with our users is of utmost concern to us.  We exercise great care in providing secure transmission of our users’ financial information from their computers to our server, utilizing sophisticated encryption software.  One easy and important way to protect your personal information is to guard your account password, remember to log-out of your account, and close your browser window when you have finished your work.

SNB is responsible only for security on our side of the internet.  Any breaches of security that occur on our customer’s computers for whatever reason is not the responsibility of SNB.  However, to protect our customers from internet attacks, SNB recommends our customers purchase and continually update internet and virus protection software.

SNB internet customers should be particularly careful when using public computers.  IP addresses are stored when our customer’s log into our internet site.  IF YOU SIGN ON USING A PUBLIC COMPUTER, YOU NEED TO CHOOSE THE “PUBLIC” OPTION.  This will prevent the IP address for your account from being stored on the public computer which will bypass some security features.

It is strongly recommended customers install a custom security question.  This will assist SNB staff in identifying our internet customers should they have a problem with our service.  We will be more than happy to walk you through the process of initiating this custom security feature.

Your Acceptance to These Terms:  By logging on to the SNB internet banking website, you signify your assent to SNB’s privacy policy as well as your acknowledgement of the above disclosures.  Your continued use of the SNB internet banking service following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes.
